The ladies of our pasture mean a lot to us and they are an integral part of our breeding program. We have spent many years looking for mares that will add that extra flare to what Ragtime already puts on. A snappy front end as well as a big back end. When you pair mares like this together with Ragtime, you come up with the ultimate walking horse foal!
They are naturally gaited to the extreme!! Get them broke and they gait. No need to send them to a trainer in order to train them to gait the way they are supposed to. Ride 'em and enjoy 'em! |

Shadaisy is fairly new to us. We purchased her in the spring of 2010 and she is shown here 3 weeks after having arrived and a week after having foaled the little gaffer (Casey) beside her. She has excellent bloodlines, great conformation, tonnes of talent and that oh so beautiful champagne color. Unfortunately she did not catch for a 2011 foal so we will try again next year. |

Touch is an amazing mare. I have never ridden a horse like her before. Initially, she came to us for training as part of a deal I had made with her owner. She had been started but not worked with in some time and after a few weeks working with her Dave and I decided we just had to have her. I absolutely couldn't believe how she would just shift her weight so far back and have her front end come up so high that it felt like I was going to slide right off the back of her. Her head shake is dramatic and the sound of her hooves hitting the arena floor like thunder. With only a month's worth of work and her timing not quite right I took her to the 2010 Alberta Celebration. She did very well and the judge commented how he knew it was her coming around the ring behind him because she is the only horse that sounded like a train as she moved and he absolutely loved it! |

MG was born in Tennessee in 1997 and imported into Canada from Kentucky in 2004 by Big Rock Walkers. We purchased her from Randy and Rosina Widmer in 2010 bred to Doc Walker. We only rode MG a couple of times since she was in foal and all I can say is, Holy Cow, can she move! She is incredibly gaited and is passing it off to her offspring as witnessed in Shadaisy (the champagne broodmare listed on our page) and now this year's colt, Magnum. We are excited to see the cross with Ragtime in 2013. |

Ritzy has been with us on lease for the past 2 years. After seeing the 2 colts that she has put on the ground, we thought, "we need many more of these"! We contacted her owners to see if they would be willing to sell her and at first the answer was no, much to our dismay. Resigned to the fact that this incredible mare would be leaving us in the fall, we started preparing for good-bye. As luck would have it, her owners thought more about it and decided in the end that they would part with her, although reluctantly I am sure. So, Ritzy is here to stay and we look forward to many more beautiful babies. |

We imported Fancy from Tennessee this summer along with Miss Troubador. Looking at our breeding program we felt we needed to add one more thing and that being a smaller size horse. We found that more and more people contacting us were looking for a horse smaller in size. Fancy is 14.1hh and in her past life was shown big lick in the juvenile division. Thankfully, she has now found her way to Canada, where we believe in natural movement and more humane treatment and actually feeding our horses. I can tell you that Fancy has great bone as I could see every one of them when she arrived. I couldn't believe my eyes. The transporter called twice to see how she was doing because he was convinced she wasn't going to make it. Fancy has not only been brought back to look like a normal horse should look, she has surpassed my expectations and with her newly gained vitality and strength she is an absolute blast to ride! We bred her to Ragtime for a 2012 foal to start our, hopefully, smaller version of well bred, natural moving TWH's. |

Gyspy arrived on the truck from Tennessee this summer along Sky, Tucker and Fancy. She, along with Fancy are the smaller additions to our broodmare band. Gypsy also stands only 14.1hh and is a stout, beautiful and very naturally gaited little mare. She is gentle and loving and although has not had an extensive amount of riding, I rode her bareback with a halter not too long after she arrived and she just floats. She is currently in foal to Platinum Breeze, a cremello stallion with an agouti gene from TN, and I am eagerly waiting to see the combination this cross lands. It is November 12, 2011 as I write this and she is due to foal anytime. This will be our first experience with such a late foal, but I think we are as ready as can be with the barn, straw, heaters and blankets for mom and baby. Will keep you all posted once the baby arrives as to how we do. |
