INTRODUCING

Doc Walker

Well....we certainly weren't looking for another stallion but are we ever glad he is here!
This was a tough decision for Dave and I and one we didn't take lightly. After purchasing horses from Randy and Rosina Widmer earlier this year, Randy called us to ask if we would be interested in their stallion Doc. As it turned out the pasture they thought they had for their horses didn't materialize and they were left to scramble and find homes for horses they weren't planning on selling. I told Randy we would think about it and weeks went by. We were very much back and forth about it. His bloodlines are good, we own 2 of his babies and they are really nice, we could breed our Ragtime daughters to him instead of sell them all the time, etc. On the other hand, there is a half brother 100km away from us, what if he doesn't gait, what if he doesn't do to his get what Ragtime does, what if he is an ill mannered stallion that you can't get close to? As we hadn't yet seen him we decided to go and have a look but were sure we wouldn't end up taking him.
One look at him and that was it, I was sold. Not only is he beautiful, he is very well mannered and the quality of his gait is amazing. We left Randy & Rosina's and not long after became joint owners of Doc.

Doc is different from Ragtime in so many ways that we feel what we have now is a one stop shop. Ragtime is still our premier stallion and when you breed to him we know what you are going to get and can guarantee it. Doc's get are still too young to prove him out just yet but the way it is looking we are not at all worried about it.

Doc's introductory stud fee for 2011 will be $500 to a limited number of mares.
